Nick plans the funeral for Gatsby and invites everyone gets ever had go to a party or talk to. During the funeral of Gatsby only few people were there showing that everyone just used Gatsby for his money, parties, and booze. It also shows that he had no real friends they were all fake and used him. And it shows that money did not bring Gatsby happiness it just brought him pain.
